FAQ

Q. Where are Wrap A Candles made?
A. In the USA.

Q. Are the bases breakable?
A. The bases are made from shatterproof polycarbonate plastic.

Q. How can I clean the bases?
A. Just use warm sudsy water (after you remove your wraps!) and dry with a soft cotton cloth.

Q. Can I make my own wraps?
A. Yes! That's part of the fun of Wrap A Candle. You can purchase professionally designed wraps from our wrap library, or you can cut your own paper to size. We've used wallpaper, wrapping paper, scrapbook paper, maps, kids' coloring projects ... you're only limited by your own imagination!

Q. Can I purchase multiples of one size of the bases?
A. Not currently, as they are sold in a set of three different sizes. But we are looking at a bulk purchase option.

Q. What is the best way to burn my Wrap A Candle?                                                A. For the best experience and longest life of your Wrap A Candle, we recommend burning your candle in short, intentional sessions rather than all at once.

Each Wrap A Candle uses a tea light (or LED votive) that sits inside the reusable base. While our jumbo tea lights offer a long burn time, candles naturally generate more heat the longer they stay lit. To keep everything performing beautifully, we suggest:

  • 🔥 Burn for 2–4 hours at a time, then extinguish and allow the candle to fully cool before relighting

  • 🕯️ Always place candles a few inches apart when multiple candles are lit to allow proper air circulation

  • ❄️ Let the candle cool completely before moving or changing the wrap

  • ♻️ Replace the tea light once it’s finished, keeping the base and wrap looking like new

This approach helps prevent overheating, protects the candle base and wrap, and ensures your Wrap A Candle stays simply beautiful for many uses to come.

Q. What if wax drips into my votive cavity?                                                                      A. You can clean out the hardened wax by using a paper towel to wipe it out.

Q. How long do the votives last?
A. The Wrap A Candle votives burn for 6+ hours. Do not burn your votive for the whole 6+ hours in one setting.

Q.  How long should I burn my candles?
A.  For the best burn, enjoy your Wrap A Candle in shorter burn times (2-4 hours) rather than one long session. This helps keep the wick at the proper length and the flame at a safe, beautiful height. Before each burn trim the wick to 1/4 inch for a cleaner, longer lasting glow.

Q. What kind of wax is used in the votives?
A. All Wrap A Candle votives are made with 100% soy wax.

Q. What scents do you offer?
A. Wrap A Candle votives are available in the following scents:

  • Unscented
  • Vanilla
  • Citrus
  • Fresh
  • Spice

Q. Will any tea light fit?
A. No, the Wrap A Candle bases fit only jumbo tea lights.

Q: What should I do if the wrap strap is disconnected when I receive my Wrap A Candle set?
A. Some buyers are reporting that the wrap strap on the large candle base has come loose in the shipping process. We apologize for the inconvenience, There are two easy steps to reconnect your wrap strap:

Secure the end caps:
Gently press both end caps inward so they fit snugly into the candle base tube. Make sure the small holes on each end line up top to bottom - this is where your wrap strap will go through.

Insert the wrap strap:
1. Take your wrap strap and insert one end into the small hole on the first end cap.
2. Then lightly bend the wrap strap (it's slightly flexible) and insert the other end into the hole on the opposite end cap - you will feel a soft snap when it's in place.

Your candle base is now secure and ready for your favorite wrap!

Q.  What if I need non-flame candles?
